Book 1 of 2..
Chapter 1
~Split Personality~
In the mirror on the left, a young man admires his looks, he’s not conceited or vain. He just likes the way he looks.
He raises his left hand and runs his fingertips along his forehead, just below the hairline. No widows peak in sight. He smiles, then traces his fingers down the left side of his face, the slight hollow of his temple, the high cheekbone not too sharp yet shaped enough to give a striking profile, and then he slides his fingers gently down to his jaw, over the sensuous hollow of his cheek feeling its smoothness. He didn't like shaving, the razor always left his skin dry and the burning sensation made him cringe. Then he ran his fingertips along his tapered jaw and down his slender neck, feeling its firmness he tilted his head to the right and smiled as he looked back at the handsome face before him.
He looked good, from his immaculately trimmed hairstyle down to his leather, Louis Vuitton shoes.
Stepping back from the mirror he brushed a piece of lint from the left shoulder of his Armani suit jacket, turned and left the bathroom...
It was 7am, his day would be long and frustrating but he was OK with that. He had appointments that would keep him busy until 5 o'clock when he would be free to relax and do the things he loved most.
In the mirror on the right a young lady expertly applied a rich creamy moisturizer to her delicate face starting at her gentle sweeping hairline, over her high delicate cheekbones back toward her hair above her un-protruding ears, pausing to dip into the moisturizer and start again at her firm slender throat and worked her way up, along her tapered jaw, sweeping the silky cream up and outward to help prevent wrinkles by dragging the skin down except her nose where she gently applied the sweet coconut scented product in a downward motion then out and upward over her cheeks.
She loved the feeling of her skin, her long wavy blonde hair that reached half way down her back.. Rinsing and drying her fingers, she chose a light foundation that complimented her skin tone, putting a small amount on her fingertips, mooshing it against the tips of her other hand, she dotted it over her face, ready to blend it all the way into her hairline. There were no makeup tides on this lady’s face. Her makeup was to be flawless.
When she was happy that it could not be any better, she rinsed and dried her hands ready for the next stage.
She would not leave until her masterpiece was perfect.
As it was winter, she decided waterproof makeup was definitely required so she reached into her huge makeup case where everything was organized by items and colour. She had no problem finding a black kohl eyeliner pencil and a super fine steel collared liquid eyeliner and the black infinitize mascara which would make her look like she was wearing false eyelashes, she chose a soft honey collared liquid blusher, and Lush colour lipstick, sort of tanny bronze. It had become her favourite.
Having placed each item neatly on the small shelf below the mirror, she took one more look at her blemish free makeup and began her masterpiece.. First she applied the liquid eyeliner just under the lashes of each eye, starting from the outside corner until half way across, stopping just past the centre. Then she would apply a slightly thicker line just over her upper eyelashes, again starting at the outside edge, being careful not to make it uneven she drew the brush all the way across almost to the inner corner, leaving just a small amount bare. Taking a look to be sure both eyes were perfectly even, satisfied she placed the liquid liner back in the makeup case. Picking up the eyeliner pencil, being careful not to cover too much of the already set liquid liner, she drew the sharpened pencil over her upper eyelid starting from the outer corner, stopping half way across in a tapered line to give herself an oriental appearance. Then she drew the pencil along the outer edges of her lower lids on top of the lashes close to her eyeballs, she didn't go all the way across, in fact she stopped about a third way, she had never done her eyes like this before, and she liked it. Making sure that both eyes were symmetrical, she then placed the eyeliner pencil back into the makeup case before reaching for the blusher. She loved the colour of soft honey with a hint of autumn. Shaking the small bottle in her right hand and then removing the lid, she sucked her cheeks in making a fish pout with her lips. Dabbing her finger on the top of the bottle, with just enough colour she smoothed the creamy liquid along her cheekbones in a long V, the widest part toward her ears and make sure the edges were blended well. Again she rinsed her hands and admired the transformation in progress while placing the bottle back into the makeup case and realized she had not picked out a lip liner pencil. Feeling annoyed at her mistake she quickly found a honey collared lip liner and began applying it. Her hands shook slightly in annoyance but still she managed to apply a perfect line around her sensual lips. Taking a deep breath she studied her work, she was pleased with herself and replaced the liner back in the case. Taking another long deep relaxing breath and letting it out slowly, feeling her body calm down, she picked up the lipstick and began her favourite part of her transformation.. starting at the centre of her top lip, she pressed the silky stick of glistening colour against it and drew it slowly to the corner of her mouth, then back at the top again, did the same along the other side. She closed her mouth firmly to press the colour onto her bottom lip before taking a tissue to blot away the excess colour by closing it between her lips. Happy she had made a base that would seal the colour for a long night, she applied a second coat of lipstick to her mouth. With another tissue she made a kissy face to remove any lipstick that may have ended up on her teeth.
Putting the lipstick back in her makeup case, she admired the china doll staring back at her. She was elated of her masterpiece, all the way from her gorgeous blonde hair, her 100% Japanese silk Kimono down to her Louis Vuitton low wedged heel sandals..
It was going to be a long and glorious night..
