They say that love never dies
...Catie opened her eyes, she had fallen asleep on the hard park bench, not quite remembering why she was there and mildly dazed of her surroundings. Suddenly she jolted upright..
Had he shown..? She looked around through sleep filled eyes and couldn't see him.
He wasn't there..
But in fact, he 'is there'.. Sitting beside her on the park bench.
Sitting holding her hand, looking at her with tears flowing down his cheeks.. But she did not feel him.
I'm here my darling.. But she did not hear him.
He stood in front of her, but she did not see him.
Catie shivered and cried at the loss of her beloved husband, wishing he was with her just one more time.
'I love you Matt, I will for the rest of my life!'
Reaching forward to his pregnant wife, he put his hands on her swollen belly and cried, not because he will never get to hold his beautiful boy.. But because nor would she.
Their son gave an almighty kick at the touch if his fathers’ hands, Catie smiled and rubbed her belly.
'Soon my love, you will be in this world, soon we will smile together and hold onto each other, and soon I will tell you all about your daddy.'
Catie curled up onto the park bench waiting for the sun to rise fully and warm her and her unborn son.
Then for a split second she thought she saw him standing in front of her smiling.. 'I love you..' he said, she'd heard him and sat up just as the car came roaring out of control from behind her, crashing through the park bench...
